The Vancouver Courier issue of Friday, August 30 featured Dunbar-Southlands as part of their Vancouver Special neighbourhood series. According to census data, roughly 21,745 people reside here.

Articles included the future of Stongs, Dunbar BIA, social housing, Terry Slack’s favourite pink-salmon spotting location, the bowling lanes in St. Philip’s Anglican Church, Southlands Riding Club’s 12th Annual Country Fair and a retirement home for racehorses at Shannon Stables.

According to the Courier, the Then & Now feature seems to be the most popular part of the series.

I was charmed by a video about the Vancouver Rabbit Agility Club. If you happen to recognize the language in the soundtrack, please tell me what it is, because I’d love to know.

As a side remark: please forgive me if the links don’t always work. The Courier seems to currently have some issues with its website.
